We welcome Carolina Parents to UNC-Chapel Hill and give them access to unique experiences, networking opportunities and dedicated resources to maximize their Carolina experience.

We connect Carolina Parents to campus initiatives aligned with their family’s passions, values and philanthropic interests.

Parent Engagement Opportunities

There are currently three philanthropic engagement opportunities for parents at UNC-Chapel Hill — two are open to all members of the Carolina Family and one is for parents of undergraduate business students. Carolina Parents Leadership Society

Parents and families play an integral role in the college experience. As our students stand poised to lead the way to a brighter future, parents are creating an environment in which they can thrive. Become a member of the Carolina Parents Leadership Society (CPLS) with an annual gift of $5,000 or more to any program or fund at Carolina.

Carolina Parents Council

The Carolina Parents Council supports programming offered by New Student & Family Programs and Student Affairs and funds programs that directly benefit undergraduate students through its signature Carolina Parents Council Grant program. With an annual gift of $1,250, parents are eligible for Council membership and participation in the grant making process.

Kenan-Flagler Parents Council

Open to parents of undergraduate students enrolled in the Kenan-Flagler Business School, this Council has exclusive access to events for Kenan-Flagler families featuring news and updates from the program’s leadership. The recommended annual giving amount is at the Director’s Giving Level of the Dean’s Circle – $5,000; with the minimum recommended gift amount at the Manager’s Giving Level – $2,000.
