Noah Legall ’18 spent his years at Carolina looking for ways to combine his interests in biology and computer science. The former Chancellor’s Science Scholar landed on quantitative biology and spent four years exploring research topics with UNC School of Medicine faculty.

He then pursued a doctorate at the University of Georgia’s Institute of Bioinformatics, where he used computer science, math, and statistics to analyze biological data - specifically, bacteria.
