What do an art major, an undergraduate researcher in botany, a music major and a pre-business economics major have in common? They are all supported by funds established by one donor: Herbert Mayo ’65.

Arts and Sciences Foundation

The Arts and Sciences Foundation at UNC-Chapel Hill exists to raise philanthropic support for the highest development priorities of the College of Arts and Sciences. Under the leadership and governance of its Board of Directors, and with support from alumni and friends of the College, the Foundation works to grow and steward the College’s endowment. Arts and Sciences Fund

Provides support for the College’s highest priorities — recruiting and retaining faculty, enhancing student engagement, deepening academic excellence and achieving global impact.

Center for Student Success Relocation Fund

The fund will support the Center for Student Success's move from South Campus to the Robert B. House Undergraduate Library.

The Chancellor's Science Scholars Fund

Provides support for merit-based scholarships, access to cutting-edge research opportunities, professional development, leadership training, mentorship and programming designed for academic and future success.

THRIVE Program General Fund

Provides support for the Transforming Health and Resilience in Veterans (THRIVE) Program, whose mission is to serve veterans and first responders by improving the evaluation and treatment of traumatic brain injuries through clinical practice, research and education.
