$1 million gift from a former Carolina Volleyball star enhances historic fundraising campaign

Donna Lee Gutterman ’79, ’98 (MBA), of Raleigh, North Carolina, pledged a gift to the Carolina Volleyball Operating Endowment Fund in honor of Dr. Beth Miller, Carolina Volleyball, Coach Sagula, Gutterman’s former teammates and alumnae.

You can support them through several priorities: the Carolina Excellence initiatives, scholarship support, facilities giving, team operational support, an Annual Fund membership or FORevHER Tar Heels, an initiative to celebrate and champion women’s athletics.

Educational Foundation-Annual Giving

Every Carolina fan can be a part of providing athletic and educational opportunities to student-athletes with memberships to The Rams Club. As a part of The Rams Club, every member helps Carolina Athletics meet its most pressing needs.

Carolina Athletics Excellence Fund

This endowment will provide a long-term funding solution with critical, built-in flexibility to address future needs. The annual yield from this endowment will provide a flexible resource to address the challenges and opportunities presented to Carolina Athletics in the years ahead.

Educational Foundation-Endowment

The Scholarship Endowment provides critical, long-term support for Carolina’s athletic scholarship program. Scholarship donors provide the opportunities for gifted student-athletes to gain a world-class education while competing for one of the nation’s top athletics programs.

Football Operating Endowment

This endowment helps ensure the Football program has long-term financial support to meet specific needs not covered in the regular operating budget.
