The Ackerman Center for Excellence in Sustainability drives responsible thought leadership and education to accelerate progress in social and environmental sustainability through innovative and profitable business solutions.

Provides scholarship support for undergraduate dental hygiene students.

Honors the work and life of Barry Hounshell, former faculty member at the UNC School of Education, and his wife, Ann, in hopes of reminding students and faculty members of the importance of mentoring and developing lifelong commitments to their students in the UNC School of Education.
