North Carolina Institute for Public Health

Provides support to provide training, technical assistance, data analysis, strategic planning and innovative public health solutions that improve health outcomes across North Carolina and beyond.

Pro Bono Discretionary Fund

Funds experiential pro bono opportunities that allow Carolina Law students to serve individuals and communities in need while building essential skills for practice.

Social Work-Continuing Education

Provides support for scholarships, which allow access to cutting edge research and practices to new practitioners and recent graduates when attending may be cost prohibitive.

Stone Center Communiversity Program

Provide support for the CommUniversity Youth Program (CYP) is the Stone Center’s longest-running outreach program. CYP, founded by Carolina students in 1992, serves an enrichment program for K-12 scholars. Communiversity Youth Program is supported by volunteers from the campus community and takes place after school, four days per week during the academic year.

The Hortense McClinton Legacy Scholarship

Provide support for students interested in pursuing a social work degree to do so with limited debt, which honors the first Black faculty member at Carolina.

The Iris Carlton-LaNey Scholarship Fund

Provides support for MSW students who are pursuing careers as social work professionals in the areas of social justice and racial equity.

The Louise Coggins Pathways Scholarship

This fund was established to provide scholarship support to Bachelor of Social Work students at the UNC School of Social Work.

The Psychology Community Clinic Vision

Provides support for the Clinic’s initiatives to provide evidenced-based assessment and treatment, train graduate students in state-of-the-art approaches, and support clinical research that advances the practice of psychology.

The School of Social Work Scholarship Fund

Provide support for dozens of scholarship funds to help students. Some are designated for students who meet certain criteria — for example, a student who lives in a particular county or a student who is pursuing a particular career in social work.

The School of Social Work Social Justice Fund

Provides support for students who enhance racial and cultural diversity.
