The MAC Student Assistance Fund
Provides support for Master of Accounting students with an emergent financial need, creating necessary resources to support them without interruption to their academic pursuits.
The O.B. Hardison Scholarship Fund for the Humanities
Provides support for a scholarship in honor of Professor O.B. Hardison, a renowned scholar of English literature who impacted a generation of Carolina students, providing them with an intellectual awakening.
The School of Social Work Scholarship Fund
Provide support for dozens of scholarship funds to help students. Some are designated for students who meet certain criteria — for example, a student who lives in a particular county or a student who is pursuing a particular career in social work.
The Scott Family Foundation Expendable Fund for Student Experiences
Ensure that students with financial need can take advantage of the school’s many transformational experiential learning opportunities that are available both through course work and extracurricular opportunities.
The Sean Douglas Fellowship Endowment
Provides support for professional development experiences for students through internships with the Stone Center. The Fellowship, named for UNC-Chapel Hill alum Sean Douglas, a U.S. Army veteran, aviator and community leader, provides semester-long paid internships. Students work directly with Stone Center staff to develop meaningful service and engagement experiences on campus and in the surrounding communities.
The Summer Bridge Program
Provides support for a six-week program that helps incoming students, many from underserved backgrounds, transition to college life.
The Susan Grey Akers Scholarship Fund
Inspired by Susan Grey Akers’ trailblazing legacy, this fund enhances the MSLS student experience by providing resources that foster academic achievement, professional growth and opportunities to learn and lead.
The United States Military Veterans Dental Scholarship Fund
Provides scholarship support for DDS and Dental Hygiene students who are veterans of the United States military (Air Force, Army, Marines, Navy or Coast Guard) in the UNC Adams School of Dentistry. DDS and DH students who are the dependents of US military veterans would also be eligible for selection based on academic performance and financial need.
The Young Alumni Carolina Covenant Scholarship Endowment Fund
Provides support for Carolina Covenant, a University program that provides support including, but not limited to, scholarships, orientation and mentoring.
THRIVE Program General Fund
Provides support for the Transforming Health and Resilience in Veterans (THRIVE) Program, whose mission is to serve veterans and first responders by improving the evaluation and treatment of traumatic brain injuries through clinical practice, research and education.
