Summer Research Fellowships

These fellowships ensure timely degree completion in disciplines where summer funding is not available.

Tar Heel Business Academy Scholarship Fund

Provides need-based scholarships for high school students to attend the Tar Heel Business Academy, UNC Kenan-Flagler’s pre-college business program.

The Blue Sky Scholars Expendable Fund

Provides support for middle-income undergraduate students from North Carolina through financial aid.

The Carol and William Malloy Endowed Travel Fund

Provides support to graduate students with travel expenses incurred while sharing their research at education conferences.

The Caroline H. and Thomas S. Royster Jr. Graduate Fellowship Fund

Established in 1996 by the visionary Dr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Royster, The Royster Society of Fellows is the premier doctoral recruitment fellowship program at the Carolina. As a member of the Royster Society of Fellows, graduate students become part of an exclusive community that extends beyond their time at the University.

The Chancellor's Science Scholars Fund

Provides support for merit-based scholarships, access to cutting-edge research opportunities, professional development, leadership training, mentorship and programming designed for academic and future success.

The Dean E. Smith Scholarship Fund
