Department of Music

Provides support for a wide variety of initatives, including core student-centered programs such as the UNC Concerto Competition, UNC Opera premieres, other ensembles, symposiums and guest artists.

Educational Foundation-Endowment

The Scholarship Endowment provides critical, long-term support for Carolina’s athletic scholarship program. Scholarship donors provide the opportunities for gifted student-athletes to gain a world-class education while competing for one of the nation’s top athletics programs.

Edward G. Holley Student Research Fund

Provides support for student research awards, especially for expenses incurred for research on the master's thesis.

Eichholz Foundation and Arete Swartz-Warren, MA '70 Director of Education and Interpretation Fund

Provides support for the position that oversees K-12 and university student outreach, public programs, and interpretation materials for visitors.

Faculty Engaged Scholars Program

Provides support for advancing engaged scholarship for Carolina faculty. Selected scholars participate in a two-year curriculum, develop projects and create a learning community yielding new interdisciplinary collaborations, successful grant applications and unique outcomes of scholarship.

Friends of the Institute for the Arts and Humanities

Provides support for additional operating funds for IAH activities and special programs.

Friends of the Learning and Writing Center

Provides support for strategic advancements in the Writing and Learning Center.

Friends of the Shuford Program in Entrepreneurship

Provides support for high-impact courses and experiential learning opportunities in the Shuford Program.

Fund for Carolina Public Humanities

Provides support for the general operating expenses of Carolina Public Humanities, including public outreach, community-based dialogues and statewide educational programs.
