APPLES Service-Learning Seed Fund

Provides support for APPLES Service-Learning, which is celebrating a legacy of 35 years as a student-led program that connects academic learning and public service. APPLES engages students, faculty and community in sustained and mutually beneficial partnerships for transformational educational experiences for students and for positive outcomes in communities.

Carolina Center for Public Service

Provides support for the Carolina Center for Public Service to make it possible for Carolina to fulfill its mission of respectful, engaged public service that is responsive and contributes to the common good across North Carolina and beyond.

Carolina Public Service Scholars Program

Provides support for undergraduate students to expand their understanding of service, connect academic and community-based experiences and build their capacity to have a positive impact through service. Scholars complete rigorous program components and create a portfolio reflecting their individual scholarship and world experiences.

Charles M. and Shirley F. Weiss Endowment for Creativity in Performing Arts-Stone Center

Provides support for various performing arts initiatives of Carolina faculty, students, and staff who work in collaboration with the Stone Center in fulfilling its mission and is named for the late Professors Charles M. Weiss and Shirley F. Weiss.

Community Service Scholarship Program Expendable Fund

Provides support for tuition assistance and programming to select, service-oriented undergraduates to advance their commitment, knowledge and skills related to service. Community Service Scholars receive training, mentorship and individualized support of specific public service interests.

Disaster Relief Fund

Provides support for CCPS to support the University’s response and relief efforts in the aftermath of natural disasters. CCPS serves as a hub for information, service opportunities and project fundings. Donations to the Disaster Relief Fund cannot be transferred to individuals or organizations; rather, the funds allow Carolina to engage with and fully support affected communities in the near and long term.

Sonja Haynes Stone Center Gift Fund

Provides support for the Stone Center to respond to pressing programmatic needs and pursue new opportunities, as well as collaborate on innovative projects with faculty, students, and staff.

Stone Center 20 for 20

Provides support for the “20-for-20” initiative, which celebrates the 20-year anniversary of the Stone Center building, spanning from 2004 to 2024. This opportunity invites individuals to make a monthly recurring gift of $20, committed for 20 years, with the pledge broken into 5-year increments. The funds raised will go toward supporting the Stone Center’s Gift Fund, helping sustain its mission and programs over the long term.

Stone Center Art Fund

Provides support for the visual arts programs and initiatives in the Brown Gallery and other spaces in the Stone Center building.

Stone Center Banner Battle

Engage in some friendly competition! Each month, the affinity group (fraternities, sororities, intramural clubs, varsity sports, signature student groups such as EROT, Black Ink and Black Student Movement) with the most combined giving total will have a banner flown outside of the SHSC and have bragging rights banners to post to social media. Set up your monthly recurring gift of $100 or more today!
