APPLES Service-Learning Seed Fund
Provides support for APPLES Service-Learning, which is celebrating a legacy of 35 years as a student-led program that connects academic learning and public service. APPLES engages students, faculty and community in sustained and mutually beneficial partnerships for transformational educational experiences for students and for positive outcomes in communities.
Carolina Center for Public Service
Provides support for the Carolina Center for Public Service to make it possible for Carolina to fulfill its mission of respectful, engaged public service that is responsive and contributes to the common good across North Carolina and beyond.
Faculty Engaged Scholars Program
Provides support for advancing engaged scholarship for Carolina faculty. Selected scholars participate in a two-year curriculum, develop projects and create a learning community yielding new interdisciplinary collaborations, successful grant applications and unique outcomes of scholarship.
Medical Discovery Research Fund
Provides support for research at the earliest stages—before grant money can be applied for. Private support ensures that today’s promising ideas have a chance to become tomorrow’s breakthroughs!
UNC Children’s Excellence Fund
Provides support for the enhancement of patient care and education, clinical programs, research, staff development, facilities and ancillary services.
