Graduate School Dean's Fund
This unrestricted fund is our most powerful tool for supporting graduate students. It enables The Graduate School to respond quickly to emerging needs, launch new initiatives and invest in opportunities the moment they arise.
Graduate School Fellowship Fund
These fellowships bring the world’s brightest graduate students to UNC-Chapel Hill and give them the freedom to do their best work. Dissertation fellowships allow doctoral students to dedicate themselves fully to completing groundbreaking research without financial distraction.
Graduate Student Emergency Fund
This Fund exists to provide financial assistance to graduate and professional students with emergency financial assistance for unforeseen financial circumstances that could hinder their ability to complete their graduate or professional degrees.
Graduate Transportation Grant
The Graduate Student Transportation Grant supports graduate students who travel to and present their research at academic conferences and professional society meetings.
Health Behavior
Provides support to the department to design and evaluate interventions that help individuals and communities adopt healthier behaviors and reduce health disparities.
Health Policy and Management
Provides support to the department to prepare the next generation of leaders to improve health care systems, shape health policy and manage organizations that deliver health services.
Impact Awards
Impact Awards recognize current graduate students and recent graduate alumni whose research contributes to the educational, economic, physical, social or cultural well-being of North Carolina communities and citizens.
Maternal and Child Health
Provides essential funding to the department to focus on improving the health and well-being of women, children, adolescents and families through research, practice and policy.
North Carolina Institute for Public Health
Provides support to provide training, technical assistance, data analysis, strategic planning and innovative public health solutions that improve health outcomes across North Carolina and beyond.
Nutrition
Provides critical funding to the department to examine how diet and nutrition influence health and develop evidence-based strategies to prevent disease and promote wellness across the state of North Carolina. Additionally, our faculty partner with Carolina Athletics to support the health and performance of Tar Heel student-athletes.
