Corporations & Foundations
Given the University’s teaching, research and public service missions, our corporate and foundation giving is geared toward responding to the needs and interests of industry as they relate to student recruiting, faculty research, technology development and transfer, economic development, and continuing education.
The Corporate and Foundation Relations and Talent Management office fosters successful collaborations between the University and corporations and foundations. It provides companies and foundations with a one-stop portal for developing meaningful partnerships with the research, teaching and public outreach at one of the country’s great public research universities. Its staff is focused on facilitating connections across campus.
The University has a rich tradition of successful partnerships with corporations and foundations, many of which have led to breakthrough discoveries and the establishment of innovative enterprises that tackle the world’s most complex challenges. With all five major health care schools—medicine, public health, pharmacy, dental and nursing—on the same campus and with a full compliment of schools and departments dedicated to the basic sciences, humanities and arts, Carolina has established an international reputation for providing companies and foundations with true interdisciplinary research, teaching and public service.
There are many ways to start making Carolina connections, including:
- Supporting faculty and students in comprehensive partnerships,
- Sponsoring research and special programs,
- Licensing technology,
- Recruiting talent, and
- Continuing education.
