Chancellors' Club
Co-chairs

Chancellors' Club members are Carolina's most generous and loyal supporters. The club was established to recognize those alumni and friends who have made a commitment to the future of the University.

Chancellors' Club members have an immeasurable impact on the University, contributing 90 percent of the total gifts to Carolina for academics. Each Chancellors' Club member touches the lives of every student, staff and faculty member at the University.

Message from the Co-Chairs

The loyal support of Chancellors' Club members continues to make great things possible here at Carolina. In fiscal year 2007, the University received a record $256.4 million in gifts, of which $146 million came from Chancellors’ Club members. We also added 889 new members, raising our total to 4,769.

The Carolina First Campaign, the drive to support Carolina's vision to become the nation's leading public university, ended Dec. 31, 2007, with $2.3 billion in commitments—$300 million more than our $2 billion goal. That tremendous momentum is transforming the campus.

But as always, it’s the stories behind those numbers that mean the most. Thanks to you, Carolina is more affordable to more deserving students. Thanks to you, Carolina has more resources to attract the best faculty and keep the outstanding scholars already here. Thanks to you, Carolina conducts more research that improves patient care and injects vitality into the economy.

We hope you’ll help us keep making a difference and continuing the University’s momentum by renewing your Chancellors’ Club membership this year. There are still plenty of opportunities to create new stories to tell.

Sincerely,
Bob Winston '84, Tracy Winston '86
