Centers and Institutes
Overview
Administratively housed in the central development office, the development department for Centers and Institutes plans and manages fund-raising campaigns that are identified as over-arching University priorities by the Provost.
Centers and Institutes works in collaboration with the Regional/Major Gift Program, the Annual Fund, Corporate and Foundation Relations and Planned Giving in the central development office to create a strategic approach for the specific fund-raising needs of a select list of centers and institutes.

Additionally, the department manages and maintains the Alumni Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity. This committee works with external relations and fundraising with Carolina’s 25,000 alumni of African American, Asian, Latin and Native American ethnic backgrounds.
