Young Alumni
School of Social Work
Since its founding in 1920, faculty, students and alumni of the School of Social Work have worked to improve the lives of North Carolinians. The school has grown tremendously and achieved a national reputation over its more than 80-year history. Though much of its work is behind the scenes, the school's commitment to serving the people of North Carolina is a primary endeavor.
The mission of the School of Social Work is to prepare students for careers in strengthening families and communities through public and nonprofit settings; to develop and test knowledge related to social work; and to provide leadership in addressing social problems.
Support from private gifts has helped the School of Social Work become one of the best schools in the country, producing leaders in education, research, direct practice and community service who work on issues that touch everyone in society. Your gift makes a tremendous difference by enabling the School of Social Work to continue to provide students with the best possible social work education and faculty with the means to conduct cutting-edge research on crucial social issues.
