Young Alumni
Carolina Covenant
The Carolina Covenant enables low-income students to come to Carolina and graduate debt-free if they work on campus 10 to 12 hours a week in Federal Work-Study jobs during their four years here. The University meets the rest of students' needs through a combination of federal, state, University and private grants and scholarships. Carolina is the first public university in America to launch such an initiative to make college more accessible.
The Carolina Covenant is more than the promise of access to the University through the provision of an exceptional ?nancial aid package. It also incorporates a campus-wide commitment to student success. A comprehensive infrastructure of support systems has been put in place to ensure that Carolina Covenant Scholars have every opportunity to successfully complete their baccalaureate education.
Donors may contribute to the Covenant with an outright gift, with a pledge to be paid out over a period of up to five years or with a bequest or other planned gift.
